The Wisdomous - Asé, Crack and Gratitude.
Hey Wisdomous friends,
I hope you are doing well, and if not, no rain ever lasted forever. Have faith and stay strong. Pick up your notebook, write those dark thoughts on a page, shed a tear if you must, then tear that page out of that book, and that is a must.
This week I learned the word "Asé", pronounced as "ah-shay". It is a Yoruba philosophy that translates to "so let it be" and refers to the spiritual life force that flows through things. Asé is powerful.
Asé is the life force that can be increased or decreased throughout our lives, depending on our choices.
Asé is a word of affirmation. It is bold and powerful and affirms out loud that which resonates in our heart as true.
Asé means the power to create that which you speak. It is imperative to choose your words wisely and intentionally. If you only realized how much Asé you have to create that you speak, you would become much more aware of the words you add your life force to.
If you are reading this, Amen Asé!

The 4 cardinal virtues: Self-Discipline (or temperance) is about knowing how to act and feel right, despite emotions such as strong desire, inner resistance, or lust.
I read
The Real Reason We’re So Critical of Others : Criticism of others is usually a defensive mechanism in disguise. When we throw unhelpful criticism against others, it’s usually a primitive attempt to boost our own ego and alleviate some insecurity.
The Part Time Creator Manifesto : Talk is cheap. Your actions are the real vote for what you want to be. If you say you want to be a Part Time Creator but spend almost 40 hours a week watching Youtube/Netflix, then you're really a Full Time Consumer.
Tips
Notorious BIG once casually mentioned that he began selling crack in fourth grade. He explained:
They [teachers] was always like, “Take the talent that you have and think of something that you can do in the future with it.”
And I was like, “Well, I like to draw.” So what could I do with drawing? What am I gonna be, an art dealer? I’m not gonna be that type. I was thinking maybe I can do big billboards. Like commercial art.
And then after that I got introduced to crack. Haha. I’m thinking, commercial art?! Haha. I’m out here for 20 minutes and I can make some real, real money, man.
Incentives drive everything, and most of us underestimate what we’d be willing to do if the incentives were right.
PSA : The lesson isn't to sell crack 😂, but to monetize our talent.
