The Wisdomous : Faith vs Personal Development
Welcome to The Wisdomous - a friendly email sent to you every week to nourish your mental wealth. You will find micro-lessons from macro thinkers, a good story, awesome reads and some fun suggestions.
Hey friends, How is your week going? I got a cold, and now every cold is just a sneeze away from turning into Covid-19.
The best aspect about my Instagram is that I get to engage with various people about various topics. For example, an acquaintance inquired about my views on faith vs personal development. Unfortunately, I don't have much to say other than this: It's the journey that counts.
Rather than focusing on the differences, I focus on the similarities: striving to be the best version of ourselves.
The unifying denominator, regardless of whose faith you follow or how you view life, isn't the reward after death; some people believe in paradise, while others believe in heaven, and still, others believe in the continuance or end-all.
"To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible." — Thomas Aquinas.
If we didn't have faith, life would be meaningless. We all have faith in various ways, ranging from religious beliefs to the fundamental concept of existence.
A powerful instrument is an intellect. It can be beneficial, but it can also be harmful if it is neglected or misused. We tend to gravitate away from positivity when we are in a bad situation. We move from a position of abundance to one of scarcity. On the other hand, faith is a tool for replenishing quantity in the heart and spirit, not only in the mind.
We gravitate towards that when we teach our thoughts to think in abundance and to have unwavering faith. Then, because we believe and anticipate positive things to happen, we attract good things.
Finally, personal development and faith go hand in hand since faith is required to believe in any change, which is at the heart of personal growth.

Love is contagious.
Think about how much you don't know.
Those who speak to the heart will be remembered.
When you meet somebody wholly admirable, love-worthy, sublime, your love and admiration will give you the urge to act nobly. - Nisargadatta Maharaj

Making friends as an adult: The fortunate thing about making friends as an adult is that it’s so much more straightforward than in school. You know who you are and what’s important to you, and when you meet someone with similar values, it doesn’t take long to form a connection.
Notes on hope: Hope might not be able to save us when the chips are down, but natality can.
Notes.
Fundamental values are a set of ideals that must never be reneged on.
Find yours and use it to make crucial decisions.
They don't have to make sense to everyone else but having a partner and friends who understand and have found theirs will make life easier.
Fundamental Values are acceptable behaviour. These are your guiding principles or moral code of conduct for an organization and should rarely be changed

Queenpins: This is amusing. There is a joke in every scene, and the plot is well-written.
The Addams Family 2: This series has always appealed to me, and this one goes into the complexities of family life. There are a lot of Dad jokes, which is my kind of humour!
I am watching Seinfeld on Netflix, It came out 32 years ago, and the jokes are still landing. If you love movies also, watch Attack of the Hollywood Cliches!
