The Wisdomous - Forever Young - Mindset - Law of Attraction
Hey wisdomous friends,
We are on our 16th edition - woof! At 16 weeks, the baby is old enough to start kicking in their mum's tummy. This tribe has grown, too, thank you.
Having mentioned babies, let me tell you about one - Me.
By the time you receive the next edition, I will be one year older.
I don't celebrate my birthday, neither will you see me involved in others. It's not just about religious reasons or philosophical principles; the other main reason is that - I don't know when I was born.
Well, I grew up at my aunt's place, and to them, my date of birth was 1st May 1997. So technically, now I am 23 years old. When I was 12 years old, I had a conversation with my mum, who told me that I was born on 6th June 1996. I was confused, as you might expect, so I reached to the few who might be equipped with the insider's knowledge and close to the source - My four brothers. 2 of them weren't sure. One said 1st May and the other said on 6th June 1996.
Sherlock Holmes wasn't released then, so that is as far as my investigation skills could go. If you wonder why I didn't go with my mum's version, after all, she is my mother, well, it was the 2nd time that I meet the woman who brought me into this world, and that was our first conversation. I had my trust issues.
2nd time, What? Yes, life happens. Fast forward, a few years later - I am switching my birth dates as I please, but things are getting serious - I am about to get my ID Card. I registered myself to have been born on 1st May 1996.
Is it tho? Why not 6th June 1996, 1st May 1997 or 6th June 1997?
Well, I couldn't care less. It isn't the most important day of my life. Had I been given a choice to be born or not - I'd have gone with not.
If you ever wished me a happy birthday, I appreciate the well-intentioned gesture, but how about you send me your favourite quote next time, and we will bond over that, Yeah?
Although I can't pinpoint my age, I have lived. Yes, the cliché, In the end, it's not the years in your life that count but the life in your years.
At a quarter a century and my QI says that I am 29 years old, Alli at the Cornershop thinks I am 16 years old. I still dress like 40 years old. In short, it complicated.
I have lived fast, and if you signed up for this newsletter, you are in for a treat. Until Netflix buys my life story and Shonda Rhimes directs the series starring Boris Kodjoe or Regé-Jean Page in the leading role, we entangle it all here.
Nugget
Know can do.
Chronically negative people will suck your energy and take you down with them if you let them.
Indulge your curiosity.
"A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts, it will shine out of your face like sunbeams, and you will always look lovely.” - Roald Dahl.
There is no shame in making an honest effort.

I finished reading "Why We Sleep" by Matthew Walker. I didn't sleep while reading it, but this newsletter came too soon to review it, so I'll share a secret with you.
The title of my book is: Too broken, to belong.
I can't wait for you to savour it!
I read
What is the law of attraction? : According to the law of attraction, you create your own reality. What you focus on is what you draw into your life. It suggests that what you believe will happen in your life is what does happen. This article dives deeper. Loved it.
How to have meaningful conversations: To have more meaningful conversations, it’s useful to see small talk as a warm-up, a necessary stepping-stone.
Tools & Tips
Some exercises can help you learn to put the law of attraction into practice in your own life.
Journaling: Writing down your thoughts can help you better learn to recognize your habitual thought patterns to see whether you tend toward optimism or pessimism and learn more about changing negative patterns of thought.
Make a mood board: Create a visual reminder that helps you maintain a positive mindset, stay motivated, and focus on your goals.
Practice acceptance: Instead of focusing on what is wrong about the present or what needs to be changed, accept things as they are. This doesn't mean that you won't continue to work toward a better future; it just means that you won't get bogged down by wishing for things to be different right now.
Practice positive self-talk: If you struggle with being overly self-critical, set a goal to engage in positive self-talk each day. Over time, this may come much more easily, and you may find it harder to maintain a negative mindset.

White People Money: A satire take on finance and Black Americans relationships with money. The movie is funny beyond a parody and asks the question; If you had a billion dollars and had to keep it as a secret, how would you do it?
For the 5th year in a row, I got 90% in predicting the Oscars. The event was boring, and I binge-watched Zero on Netflix throughout the whole event.
