The Wisdomous : Listen to the inside and live in the now.
Welcome to The Wisdomous - a friendly email sent to you every week to nourish your mental wealth. You will find micro-lessons from macro thinkers, a good story, awesome reads and some fun suggestions.
Hey wisdomous friends,
Thanks for opening this one!
This week I reflected a lot on this quote :
The outside world teaches you to want more, but the inside world teaches you to need less.
When was the last time you sat quietly to listen to your mind? When was the last time you lend an ear to your body and uncover carefully what it wants?
Last Saturday, I couldn't add my morning thoughts on my Instagram story. I have shared 100-morning "nuggets" since the beginning of this year. I learned that you could only post 100 story posts under one Instagram highlight menu.
Those nuggets are mostly intrusive thoughts that came when I decided to listen to my mind, but I didn't share any on that day. Instead, I reflected on what I had shared before and observed how my thought process has evolved. I am exploring more the inside. I am focusing on the long term and desire less of what is regarded as the norm.
How about today or this week? You take a bit of time to look inside and listen closely to what your mind and body have to tell you?

Live in the now.
How do we chase our future while appreciating our present? How do we remember the past without letting it influence our present?
The cure to the fear of the past and anxiety of the future is to embrace today. But how do we develop being in the moment?
Here are a few tips to help you live in the now :
Be Mindful: Open your eyes and look around. Don't walk on the streets with your eyes on your phone all the time. Observe your environment, interact with your surroundings, record in writing or photographs what goes around in your world.
Meditate: Meditation isn't easy. Our thoughts are loud, and our minds always scattered. Meditation is useful as it is a tool to guide us towards that calm and peaceful state that we long to enjoy in the present.
Be Grateful: We are all blessed beyond measure but too busy to appreciate it. I hope you are not too busy to be thankful to people and for things in your life. Being grateful may not solve all life's difficulties, but it will arm us with a better perspective as we face them.
