The Wisdomous - Stories, soul and a scale
Hey friends,
I hope you are doing well. If you are reading this, thank you for being part of the tribe and If you can leave me a comment on how I can improve this newsletter or my writing in general. Good feedback is the key to improvement.
Thanks for welcoming me into your world, and here is a few things I encountered this past week.
A few learnt lessons.
If you realized how powerful your thoughts are, you would never think a negative thought.
The tighter you squeeze water, the less you have.
Keep your feet on the ground and your thoughts at lofty heights.
When you find peace within yourself, you become the kind of person who can live at peace with others.
If filled with love, strange and wonderful events occur with delightful frequency.
What I wrote
Please don't stop: In this life, we lose some and gain some. Losing people is part of this life's design. Don't beat yourself up for that instead, find your tribe and walk the rest of the journey together.
Symptoms of Inner peace: An increased susceptibility to the love extended by others as well as the uncontrollable urge to extend it.
A soul with a body: Learn to observe a tree and contemplate how the leaves come and go, the sap drips out, and flowers come when they are supposed to. There is a force behind all of that. Believe in that force.
What I read
Top 10 self-help books: So many books, but a lifetime isn't enough. If you are to pick good books in the self-help category, start from that list.
How to find peace: This little pdf read dives into the life of Peace Pilgrimage. A beautiful read.
Welness tool
Scale: Peter Drucker famously said that "What gets measured, gets managed". It's hard to manage our weight without actually measuring it and in this lockdown, I gained more calories than I dare to burn. So I treated myself to a SALTER scale and I hope on it every morning butt naked to measure my weight. Today, I'm 87Kgs and I want to shade 12kgs by June this year. I will keep you posted on the progress. Remember that the best time to build that summer body is in winter.
For your eyes and ears.
Songs :
April Fool by Tiz McNamara
The Outside by Will Killen
Homebody by Kamal
Save Tonight by Tom Speight
Jardin d'hiver de Karen Ann
Corn Flakes de Dimie Cat
Movies/Series :
Marvel's Behind the Mask: A documentary of the MCU from the writers, artists and directors' perspectives. Stunning!
Namaste Wahala: Romantic movies where parents steal the show are always the best. Raj has a lot on his plate (literally!).
Young Rock: How do you work the gimic to the presidency? The Rock goes 110% in everything. The first episode was awesome. Young Sheldon has competition now.
Never and Again: Think of the 80's scenes, church, barbecue and a grandma who spills wisdomous advice. Master P produced this one, so all the loving is on late 90's hip hop!
That is all for me!
See you next week,
Stay Safe!
