The Wisdomous : The finite and infinite are at odds.
Welcome to The Wisdomous - a friendly email sent to you every week to nourish your mental wealth. You will find micro-lessons from macro thinkers, a good story, awesome reads and some fun suggestions.
Hey Wisdomous friends,
Please accept my sincere gratitude for your presence. I hope life has been kind to you; summer has come to an end on my end. And now it's time for my favourite season: cuffing, er, layering season.
I've been getting many nice texts lately, wondering where I am with the book, which suggested the concept of waiting; this book has been sitting for years, but I know that waiting any longer won't help.
It doesn't help to wait.
Let's face it; the book won't be finished by the 27th, or ever, for that matter, but I know I have to ship before the end of the month. The finite and infinite are at odds. No one lives forever in the limiting realm of time, and I've recently witnessed many young people die.
Please bear with me if I attempt to ship before sunset. Perfection is found in the infinite. But, according to one of the holy books, it will never be attained because we lost it after creation.
This newsletter isn't flawless, but you wouldn't have gotten it if I hadn't been afraid to share it in its current state. That photo doesn't require any more editing, and neither does that poem. That's procrastination in a different outfit. In a nutshell,
I implore you, perhaps like me,
to be selfish with your time,
create without permission,
forfeit acceptance, and
forego perfection.
Only our finest understanding of ourselves, our personality, and our purest aspirations hold us accountable.
Nuggets.
It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.
Positive thinking doesn’t solve every problem. But it’s a much better tool than negative thinking.
Learn to adapt to changing circumstances without bending every trend, without compromising what was at his core.
It is vital to pay great attention to the perfection of minor details.

Emotional Growth: Self-awareness, drive, empathy, social skills, and self-control are all characteristics of emotional intelligence. We are seen as wiser for our age when those are more developed, and perhaps all we did was listen intently, reconsider our attitude, and maintain our composure.

7 Subtle Signs of Low Self-Esteem: When you have low self-esteem, you’re always looking for ways to feel better about yourself. And when you act out your defensiveness by counterattacking or criticizing back, it temporarily makes you feel powerful.
Notes.
Take stock where you are.
It's easy to wish for better conditions, but that blinds us from doing the most in the present. Do what you can now. That's usually the path to getting where you want to be.
Fun.

Perfect: Aretha Franklin's biopic is stunning. It focuses on how the Queen of Soul dealt with her demons, including being pregnant at 12, suffering in an abusive marriage, struggling with her faith, and merging gospel and blues music.
12 Mighty Orphans: A lovely indie about a modest football squad made up of orphans who brought optimism to a city and a country during the Great Depression.
Monsters at Work is a humorous series that you should watch as part of your weekly anime dose.
